Learning Support

We are dedicated to supporting pupils who may have particular strengths or disadvantages and are committed to promoting their full participation as members of the school.

Our learning support team are highly qualified and have been here at Arbor for many years providing support and guidance to pupils and parents alike.

Our lead Learning Support Specialist is responsible both for those pupils whose needs have been identified prior to becoming a member of our community and to those whose needs are identified after they have started with us.

Any concerns raised are investigated by the Learning Support Specialist who will then, if necessary, plan individual education plans for that particular child. She works directly with those pupils who require specialist intervention in order to maintain progress.

Importantly, close liaison is established between staff and parents for those pupils receiving support in order to plan both continually agreed objectives and review outcomes.
