Drama

Drama continues to be an important part of life here at Arbor within the Upper Prep, with weekly drama lessons becoming part of the curriculum.

Pupils can also continue to enjoy private speech and drama coaching with specialist staff with many of our pupils achieving excellent results in both LAMDA examinations and local speech and drama festivals.

The Upper Prep children also participate in group speech and drama festivals in which they continue to enjoy unrivalled success.
During the Summer term the Upper Prep, supported by the year 3 pupils, perform our annual play at the Theatre Royal in Bury St Edmunds.

With every play written specifically with current pupils in mind by our head of drama, Joyce Amtower, the children continue to amaze, delight and thrill both parents and staff alike.

The summer production is certainly one of the major highlights of the school calendar and throughout the years has significantly contributed to the school's outstanding reputation in the field of performing arts.
