Throughout our Lower Prep we use the Montessori teaching philosophy as the foundation for all learning. 

We believe that a good solid base of language is essential for all children.

This is why, in Lower Prep, we begin by using phonic-based material to encourage word building and sound recognition skills ensuring a solid base for future learning is achieved.

Mathematical development is approached using sensory practical exercises specifically designed to build a concrete understanding of basic principles.

For our Lower Prep children, science lessons are conducted by their class teacher. Topics are always creatively approached and are designed to encourage a sense of inquisitiveness. With much of the learning gained through practical ‘hands on’ experiences.
